Whitau School comes to camp
We were very excited to welcome our first Aorangi sponsored School of 2019 to Living Springs last week. Whitau School (formerly Linwood North) joined us for a programme packed with fun and educational activities, many of which the kids had never experienced before. Do you know, for instance, what a cow’s udder feels like? According to one of the children it feels very similar to a naked cat!
Human beings, especially children, are spending less time outdoors, this is why most of our activities are outside in nature. The building blocks of self-esteem are belonging, learning, and contributing. Camps offer unique opportunities for children to succeed in these vital areas and even beyond home and school.
Aorangi Sponsorship Programme supports schools that would otherwise not be able to come to Living Springs. We are grateful to our latest sponsor Macpac for contributing to this fund, along with many other businesses that contribute to helping schools get to camp.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information about sponsoring a school, a class or even just one child. You can make a difference!
