School Camps

Living Springs has become a rite-of-passage for Canterbury school children hosting camps for over four decades. The benefits of camp and being in the outdoors are well documented. Students engage with nature, unplug from city life and take the opportunity to take part in challenging adventure activities.

Living Springs offers everything you need to meet your EOTC requirements. AdventureMark certified, camping at Living Springs is a turn-key solution making it an easy planning process for school staff, and an enjoyable experience for the campers. With over 32 activities on offer, our trained activities staff will put together a programme for your students that builds self-esteem and confidence. With the facilities to accommodate up to 200 people, and fully catered or self-catering options, Living Springs is the perfect choice for your next school camp.

Catering

Food and catering are very important aspects of any camp, something which Living Springs clearly understands. We know we are doing something right when even our younger guests comment on the quality of the food! Our menu plans ensure the children are fed with a healthy, well-balanced diet to fuel their bodies so they can tackle the programmed activities.

Our Executive Chef has created a vast selection of options for breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, lunch and dinner. To make your stay with us as easy and hassle free as possible, the menu can be signed off well in advance of your arrival at Living Springs.  All food safety standards are met from our commercial kitchen.

We are happy to cater for dietary requirements such as vegetarian, low-allergenic, gluten free, Halal etc. Nothing is a problem so don’t hesitate to ask.

Day Programmes

Being only 20 minutes away from Christchurch why not take learning outside the classroom and come see us for the day.

Our new day programmes will deliver specific goals, which can be set by yourselves, to enhance the learning of your group. The programme goals can range from environment, team-building, leadership, skill in a specific sport to just a great fun trip for a group you wish to reward.

Day programmes can be much more affordable both to schools and parents and easier to organise ensuring your group doesn’t miss out on visiting new environments and gaining new experiences. At Living Springs we understand that parents can often be hesitant to allow their kids to go on overnight camps and that the organising of enough adult supervision overnight can be hard work so why not take your first step to starting a ‘camp culture’ at your school with a day programme here at Living Springs.
