Winter camps are awesome!
Sweaty hot days, the sun burning your skin. Applying sun screen every 5 minutes. Balmy warm evenings, pesky mozzies zooming around. Is this what you associate with camp?
Think again! Winter camps are the bomb. Truly they are. Winter may not be known as camp season, but just because the temperatures dip, it doesn’t mean you can’t have an amazing time.
Think about it, all activities can still be done (really they can, check out the photo of the kids in the adventure stream).
And if you do get chilly we have steaming hot showers and you can cosy up around the wood burner.
There are no fire bans, so the evenings can be spent roasting marshmallows on a camp fire, gazing at the beautiful, sparkling skies.
And if the weather does turn sour there are enough indoor activities to keep you entertained for days. Have a dip in the indoor swimming pool, have a climb on our bouldering wall, even a game of archery tag is possible inside.
If you still need a little convincing, check out these photo’s that I took in the last week! Give winter camp a try! If you are fast there may be a spot or two available in July or August. You won’t regret it.
